So I'm switching up the content in my newsletter, and moving my weekly 'what I've been up to' updates to be weekly blog posts. You can watch for these every Friday morning.

In my newsletter I'll sharing exclusive content that I'm developing for courses and products, as well as the schedule for that week's free live training, so if you're not on my list yet, click below to sign up and you'll also get my custom analytics dashboard template.

So here is some of what I'm up to, and what I recommend for you to try this week:

1. Brendon Burchard - If you don't know who he is, look him up on YouTube, find a few topics that interest you and start watching. If you want to start with a book, I recommend High Performance Habits. I'm about to start reading it for the third time this year and I'm not even kidding, it's that good. If you want to follow along with one of the books I'm reading new right now, I just started on his Motivation Manifesto, and it's so good but rich I'm going read a few pages a day.

2. Facebook Lives - I went live on my Facebook page all 5 days last week, and I'm going to again this week, but it will be real training on focused topics. If you're working on getting visible and becoming known, doing live video on Facebook or Instagram regularly is a great place to start. If you want to know the schedule and topics for each week, sign up below to join my list and you'll get the schedule every Monday morning.

3. Using a Planner - I don't think I'll keep 'Find Freedom Through Structure' as my tagline, but it certainly will be one of my recurring themes. This is probably the single biggest personal growth area I'm focusing on during this transition. I've always been more of a haphazard, on the fly, a few lists here and there type of person. But now I'm living by my calendar, doing weekly plans and reviews, setting monthly goals, all that stuff. And the planner I'm using is the Living Well Planner which lives on my desk and I keep synced with my google calendar, which is synced with my Calendly calender.

 4. Dana Malstaff - In 2017 I learned about blogging and products. In 2018 I started to get real serious about pursuing building a business and since I knew that meant earning money sooner if I quit my job, I started learning about services. The best resource I've found for this is Dana Malstaff. This fall I jumped into her flagship course, Raising Your Business and it has been amazing, but a good place to start is her Free to Paid Journey Roadmap. That is the part of the course I'm focusing on right now. If you get into it, message me, I'd love to brainstorm together.

5. Find Your Overarching Theme - With the help of a virtual coffee chat with a new friend, I found my final piece to the puzzle last week. I realized that Creative Content Strategy is my central theme, and that Google Analytics is one way I do that, and not the other way around. I'm still focusing first on helping you use analytics to understand your traffic, so it's not changing my content schedule much right now, but it is giving me confidence that I know what I'm about, how I can best help, and what is within the scope of my business and content plan. As I have new ideas I know how to file them. It's amazing how much clarity can help you get mentally unstuck even if it's not directly related to what you were pretty sure you should do next.

6. Consider Kajabi - If you've been following for a bit, you know I've been back and forth between WordPress and Kajabi, and then also wondering whether to keep Drip or ConvertKit and use it with Kajabi. Well after learning it further, and after the newest release of Automations, I've decided to go all-in on Kajabi. It's where I will host my website, build my courses, and host my email list. I will share more about it as I continue to learn it, but if you check it out or have questions, just let me know and we can learn it together.

7. DIY Your Branding - If you're at the stage like I am, where you need to do your own branding, join me in Sarah Masci's Simple Brand Academy. It's super affordable and in my opinion totally worth it, if you work through her material she will give you just what you need to create a brand that you love and then use it in all the places you need to, without spending more time than necessary.

8. Set up a Green Screen - This weekend my husband helped me set up a green screen in my office. We looked at more complicated ideas, but ended up just nailing what is basically a big green sheet, to the wall.

9. Start with the Basics - I want to encourage you that you can do video like I am with very basic equipment. For my microphone, I'm using the My Samson Meteor Mic which was around $60, and for video I'm using a webcam, the Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920, which was $50. I don't have real lights either, but my husband stuck them up high on a stand for me. He has a Masters degree in video production, so he's got a whole wishlist of the equipment he knows he would buy me, but right now this is all I need to just give it a go and see if I can provide you all value through video training.

10. Explore your potential - This is what I'm doing this week, so I encourage you to find something too, that might be a bit scary but only because you'd be daring to believe that you have something to offer, that you should explore your gift, that you're allowed to be happy, that nobody is going to be mean or laugh, we're all just waiting for someone to take the bold move of being their best self, that calls out in us the courage to take a step toward our own highest self.

Quote of the Week

"Courage doesn't mean we're not afraid anymore, it just means our actions aren't controlled by our doubts."

- Bob Goff
